Dr Ana Maria Jorge is a Clinical, Health, and Educational Psychologist and University Lecturer with over 20 years of professional experience across clinical, educational, and community settings in Portugal and the United Kingdom. She is a member of the Portuguese Psychologists’ Association (OPP) and the EMDR Association, with extensive practice in multicultural and multidisciplinary contexts.

She is specialised in psychological trauma, attachment, expressive and arts-based psychotherapy, and integrative therapeutic approaches. Her clinical work encompasses children, adolescents, adults, and vulnerable populations, including individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions, histories of abuse, domestic violence, and social exclusion. Her practice integrates CBT, EMDR, psychodynamic, humanistic, and expressive therapies, grounded in scientific evidence and ethical standards.

Throughout her career, Dr Ana Maria Jorge has developed strong expertise in clinical supervision, academic teaching, and professional training. She has lectured at leading academic institutions, including ISPA and the University of Coimbra, and has been actively involved in postgraduate and specialist training in expressive therapies, movement and dance psychotherapy, and integrative clinical practice.

She has coordinated and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams in healthcare, education, and social services, contributing to the design and implementation of individualised intervention plans, mental health programmes, and community-based projects.
